Most of our entry door replacements run $1,800–$5,500 installed, and sliding or French patio doors typically $2,500–$6,500. Sidelights, transoms, decorative glass, and premium fiberglass series raise it from there — and simpler steel doors can come in below those ranges.
What moves the number: the door material (steel costs less than fiberglass), glass and hardware choices, and — the one nobody mentions on the phone — the condition of your existing frame. Rot at the frame or threshold turns a simple swap into a full-frame replacement, which is why we quote after seeing the door — you get a real number, and it doesn’t move afterward.

Fiberglass for most front doors, steel when budget or security leads. Fiberglass resists dents and won’t rust, holds finishes beautifully (including woodgrain looks), and insulates well — it’s what most of our customers choose for the entry. Steel costs less and is a strong pick for side and utility doors. We install quality lines including ProVia, built to order for your opening.
How long does door replacement take?
Installation is typically done in one day. Like our windows, doors are custom-ordered to your opening and typically arrive about 4–6 weeks after your signed contract and deposit. Our crews replace one opening at a time, so your home is never left exposed overnight.

Can you replace a door without replacing the frame?
Only if the existing frame is square and completely free of rot — which, on an older door, it often isn’t. A sticking door, gaps at the edges, or a soft threshold usually mean the frame is the real problem, and a full-frame replacement is what actually fixes it. We check the frame before we quote, so you’ll know which job you need.
How long does door installation take?
