The warranty you get depends on who installs it
Two different warranties cover an exterior job, and homeowners are rarely told the difference. The manufacturer covers the product. The installer covers the installation. A failure almost always happens at the second one — and that is the half most contractors gloss over.

Manufacturers hold back their best coverage
The strongest warranties are not available to every contractor. Manufacturers reserve them for installers they have trained and vetted. GAF’s Golden Pledge, for example, can only be offered by GAF Master Elite Roofing Contractors.

Sunshine is GAF Master Elite
We hold that certification, which is what puts the Golden Pledge on the table for our roofing customers at all. It covers a complete GAF roofing system rather than shingles alone.

GAF inspects our work at your house
After we register the warranty, GAF sends its own inspector to your home to confirm the installation meets manufacturer specification. Not our word for it — theirs.

The crew on your roof works for us
Our installation crews are our own — factory trained and certified by the manufacturers whose products they install. We are not scheduling a subcontractor you have never met.

Is Sunshine Contracting licensed and insured?
Yes. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured, with a Virginia Class A contractor’s license (#2705075333) and a Maryland Home Improvement Commission license (MHIC #05-131843). We’ve been family-owned and operating from Woodbridge since 1993.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Our crews are in-house and factory-trained, and the same company that quotes your project installs it and stands behind it. One crew, one company, one person to call.
