Moisture trapped inside the glass unit means the seal has failed, and no amount of cleaning will fix it. The insulating gas is gone and the window is no longer doing its job.

When you need a stick to prop a window open, or two hands and a shoulder to close it, the balances or the frame have had it. It is also a safety issue: a bedroom window that will not open easily is an egress problem, not just an annoyance.

What is NOT a reason on its own
