A North Springfield brick home: trim, soffit and gutters

This brick house in 22151 needed no siding work, so the contract covered the roof edge only. The crew capped the fascia and rake boards in Glacier White aluminum, built eight new corner boxes and capped those too, and put new white soffit on the overhangs. Then the new gutters went up: 5-inch seamless on hidden hangers, white, with standard 2×3 downspouts and Englert MicroGuard over the gutters. There were no old guards to remove.

What gets replaced on a brick house when the gutters go?

The wood along the roof edge. On a brick house the walls do not need anything, but the fascia boards behind the gutter, the rake boards up the gables and the soffit under the overhang are still wood or old vinyl, and they take the water when a gutter fails.
