Should gutters go on before or after new siding?

After. Gutters hang on the fascia and their downspouts fasten to the walls, so they go up once the siding and trim are complete. That is how the job above was scheduled: siding first, then gutters the following Monday. Doing both in one project keeps one company responsible for all of it.

Can gutters match new trim perfectly?

Close, but not always exactly. Gutter coil and trim coil come in different color lines, so a perfect match is not guaranteed. On that job, the closest gutter color to the new charcoal trim ran a shade darker, and the homeowners chose it after looking at the options with us. Do Lorton homes need leaf protection?

Many do. The Pohick area and the older streets closer to the river sit under real tree cover, while newer Lorton developments are more open.
