How much does gutter replacement cost in Burke?
Most whole-house seamless gutter replacements in Burke run $2,000–$6,000 installed. Townhomes usually land at or near the low end; large colonials with a lot of roofline, or any house getting leaf protection at the same time, sit at the high end. Other sizes, colors and guard options are available, so reach out if you don’t see what you want.
Length drives the number, and on Burke townhomes the downspouts can be the bigger half of it. On the three-level end unit below, the downspouts ran longer than the gutters themselves, because the side drops run from the roofline to the ground past two stories of siding and a brick base. A townhome like this one sits in the lower part of our range; a large colonial with more roofline sits higher.
- Feet of gutter and feet of downspout, measured at your house

- Leaf protection, priced by the foot if you add it

Signs your Burke gutters need replacing
A Burke house built when Burke Centre was filling in, in the late 1970s and 1980s, is now on its second or third set of gutters. These are the signs that one is done:
- Overflow at a valley or inside corner. Roof valleys and inside corners pour into a few feet of gutter, and an undersized run spills there first
- A damp lower-level wall. A split-foyer’s lower floor sits partly below grade, so water that spills at the wrong corner shows up inside, downstairs
- A gutter pulling away from the house. On original wood fascia, the board behind it has usually gone soft, and new screws will not hold
- Seams that drip. Sectional gutters can leak at every joint; seamless runs only have seams at corners, end caps and outlets
5-inch or 6-inch: which gutters does a Burke house need?
Our standard is 5-inch seamless K-style gutter with 2×3 downspouts, which is what the Burke townhome above needed. We step up to 6-inch gutter with 3×4 downspouts when a big roof plane, a steep pitch or a valley sends more water into a run than a 5-inch can carry.
Every run is rolled to length on site and hung on hidden hangers, in 14 standard colors from white and cream to musket brown and black. Half-round gutters, with round downspouts, and copper are available too. More on profiles on our seamless gutters page.
Where should downspouts drain on a Burke house?
Away from the foundation, at a spot where the yard carries water downhill. We place each downspout around your grading, walkways and patio, which takes extra planning on Burke townhome rows where the neighbor’s door is a few feet away.
If part of your yard holds water after a storm, point it out during the estimate and we will plan the downspouts around it. Our downspouts page covers sizes, extensions and splash guards.
Are gutter guards worth it on a Burke house?
Yes if trees hang over your roof; optional if they do not. Guards keep leaves from clogging the trough, which is what makes a gutter overflow onto the fascia and the foundation.
We install two kinds, and neither one is nailed through your shingles:
E-Z Lock screen
Best for: light to moderate leaves.
Powder-coated .028 galvanized steel that locks into the gutter. It can still need an occasional cleaning.
Englert MicroGuard
Best for: heavy tree cover.
A micro-filtration guard in .032 aluminum. Paired with new gutters and 3×4 downspouts, it carries our 10-year clog-free warranty.
See gutter guards and leaf protection for how each one works.
Do Burke HOAs need to approve new gutters?
Sometimes. Much of Burke sits inside communities with an architectural review committee, and Burke Centre’s Architectural Review Board reviews exterior changes. A same-color replacement is usually simple; changing the color or adding guards that show from the street is worth checking with your committee first. We supply the product data sheets and manufacturer color names for the application. We work closely with the committees, we have a great relationship with plenty of HOAs, and it has never been a problem for us.
Gutter questions from Burke homeowners
How long does gutter installation take in Burke?
Usually one day. The Burke townhome on this page was scheduled as a one-day install, about a week after the contract was signed.
Can you replace rotted fascia at the same time?
Yes. If the board behind the gutter is soft, we replace it with primed board and hang the new gutter on it in the same visit, so the new system is fastened to solid wood. Fascia is priced by the foot, and only where it is needed.
Do you fix existing gutters?
No. We install new gutter systems rather than patching old ones. The one exception is warranty service on gutters we installed.
What warranty comes with new gutters in Burke?
Seamless gutters and downspouts carry a 20-year manufacturer material warranty, and Englert leaf protection carries a lifetime warranty. Add MicroGuard with new gutters and 3×4 downspouts, and our 10-year clog-free warranty applies too. Details are on our warranties page.
Get a written gutter price for your Burke home
We measure the gutter and downspout footage, check the fascia, and leave a firm written price that does not change at the kitchen table. If your gutters only need a cleaning, we will say so.
Send the form and we reach out as soon as possible, often within minutes.
