This the standard sized gutter for residential homes. These gutters are great for home with lower pitched roofs and in areas without a lot of tree cover.
Oversized gutters can handle a larger amount of rainfall drainage from the roof. These are great to use on steeper pitched roofs that produce a higher amount of water drainage at a faster rate off the roof.
When selecting the size of the gutter, it’s important to consider:
These factors will determine the size needed for a particular application. When your Sunshine Contracting consultant comes out to your home, they will help you determine which size best fits the need of your home. Where the gutter is positioned on the eaves is also important. Hanging them too high or too low can allow water to run over the top of the gutter. Ideally, the back of the gutter will fit tight against the bottom of the shingles where it meets the top of the fascia and should also slope towards the downspout opening.
