Doors
Provia: Fiberglass and Steel doors, if washed, should be washed with mild soap and water. Simply rinse with clear water and wipe dry. To clean the weatherstrip, also wash with mild soap and water, rinse clear, and wipe dry. A very light coat of wax can be applied as well. If any scratches or chips occur, first wash with mild soap and water, then use touch-up paint or wood finish repair crayons. Doors can be additionally protected with a layer of Armor-All. Hardware can be polished with non-abrasive automotive or furniture wax.
Siding/Soffit/Accessories
Rainfall is typically adequate to wash vinyl siding, soffit, and accessories, but a periodic rinsing with a garden hose in areas not directly exposed to rain could help keep up the appearance of your siding. If you wish to clean further, make sure to use a soft-bristled brush and do not rub vigorously as that may tarnish the finish of the product. If you encounter any hard to remove dirt, clean it with the following solution: 1/3 cup of powdered detergent, 2/3 cup of household cleaner, and 1 gallon of water. If you wish to remove any mildew, use the same formula but substitute 1 quart of laundry bleach for the water. It is important that after cleaning the products be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. Please avoid using excessive high pressure rinsing.
