K Style Gutters

K style gutters are the most popular shape of gutter, which is why it’s installed on about 95 percent of homes. Sunshine Contracting installs continuous, seamless lengths that eliminate the need to seam small sections together, also eliminating the potential for leaks. Installation for gutters can be as soon as the next day!

Selecting Gutters

When selecting the size of the gutter, there are a few things that you need to consider. Among them are:

  • Slope of the roof
  • Overall roof size
  • Length of the roof

Sunshine Contracting sells K style gutters in two sizes, 5? (standard) or 6? (oversized) and depending on the factors listed above will determine the size needed for a particular application.  When your Sunshine Contracting consultant comes out to your home, they will help you determine which size best fits the need of your home.  Where the gutter is positioned on the eaves is also important.  Hanging them too high or too low can allow water to run over the top of the gutter.  Ideally, the back of the gutter will fit tight against the bottom of the shingles where it meets the top of the fascia and should also slope towards the downspout opening.
